History of the IFTP
It was in 2002 that the Sentinel Group, working with catalyst leaders from
different countries, gathered with a group of like-minded ministries and leaders
in Australia. That meeting gave birth to the International Fellowship of
Transformation Partners (IFTP). The intent was to provide a forum where revival
catalysts and advocates could pray together, exchange testimonies, encourage one
other and obtain valuable ministry tools, schedule training conferences, and
continuing networking. Within months the Fellowship was operating on every
continent.
In May 2005, the IFTP met in Jakarta, Indonesia to hammer out a common definition
of transformation and establish a set of core values to guide corporate
interaction. That meeting took place with the participation of members from 26
nations. The team presented its final defining document to an audience comprised
of 56 nations. They would reconvene in one year’s time to finalize operational
boundaries and strategies for the growing movement.

In 2006, the IFTP held a Global Summit in Fiji, where affiliates from 41 nations
participated in the IFTP International Summit. Among other activities, the
fellowship commissioned new transformation networks and scheduled new training
conferences. Participants visited transformed villages in Fiji, and learned from
the Healing the Land Team how the Lord is answering their prayers for Him to
change their communities and nations.
In 2007, the international gathering of the IFTP took place in Seattle,
Washington, USA where many members of the fellowship had the opportunity to
visit the international home offices of the Sentinel group.
In June of 2008, in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, leaders from 70
Brazilian ministries welcomed representatives from 37 nations in a successful
nine-day event. The Sentinel Group, in partnership with IFTP teachers, began the
recording of video curriculum for the “Journey to Transformation.” New
testimonies, encouragement, powerful teaching, and prayer were at the heart of
that event. Afterwards, a number of IFTP members embarked on Fire Tours,
visiting four different communities being transformed by the power of God.
What lies ahead for the IFTP? Among other exciting opportunities, the next
corporate gathering will take place in 2010 at the Global Day of Prayer
Celebration in Cape Town, South Africa.
