What is The Journey To Transformation?
It is impossible to plan a revival. There is no recipe for it, because the initiator is always the Holy Spirit. However, God’s Word tells us to take actions that invite His mighty presence among us. It is our responsibility to learn the things that attract Him to our communities—and to obediently and faithfully do them.
What is the Journey to Transformation?
“Journey to Transformation” is not only the title of a curriculum; it’s the name of the twelve-month process designed for the purpose of preparing a community for a Divine visitation and subsequent societal transformation. This process will involve many activities and benchmarks. For more information, view the ten-step Journey to Transformation process document, which fully explains the teaching and ministry opportunities that go along with the JTT process.
The JTT is divided into three main instructional phases, each marked by a corporate training time:
- The Beginners’ Course – A 12-hour Beginners’ Course where attendees are inspired to consider the possibility of change, presented with the general principles, and encouraged to count the cost of continuing.
- The Community Course – Those that determine they want to move forward are then taken into what we call the Community Course. It is DVD based, and lasts for about 12 weeks. It is a facilitated process that takes place right in the community itself (led by local leaders we will train in the Facilitator’s Course). The express purpose of the Community Course is to position the community for a divine visitation.
- The Maintenance Course – Once this visitation occurs, we then take the group through a third phase called the Expansion Course. The focus here is to learn how to maintain and expand the victories God has brings
during the time of visitation. This means applying His kingdom principles and wisdom to every sphere of society.

The international faculty members who teach on the Torchlight School DVDs have, for the most part, been drawn from the front lines of the transformation movement. These are experienced catalysts, not theoreticians. That’s what makes this curriculum special. They include scholars, pastors, missionaries, publishers, intercessors, and community leaders. In addition to their front line experience, these are men and women of consistent character, extraordinary insight, and first-hand knowledge of God and His ways in transforming revival.
At the Sentinel Group, we see transforming revival as a robust and comprehensive concept. It is not about church growth alone; it is not about a series of wonderful teachings or healing meetings; it is not just about making the community “better.” Transformation is about the presence of God becoming manifest. And like Ezekiel’s river, this presence brings healing to everything in proximity. We’ve seen it with our own eyes—and we believe you will, too.
